Schooling Show

We headed to Longmont for a schooling dressage show this Sat.  Cecil, Garmin, and 3 human friends attended.  During our warmup Cecil was pretty sure this was a jumping show, and was appropriately speedy and springy.  He realized it was a dressage test just in time and did a really nice job aside from making googly eyes at the spectators and barn swallows dive-bombing us in the indoor arena.  I am between dressage saddles at the moment, so we did our test in the jumping saddle which added a bit to Cecil's confusion.  I have to be proud of Cecil, he can do 11.2 miles in the mountains one weekend, and go to a dressage show the following Sat.  And he looks the part in either locale!

Garmin attracted a LOT of attention (I don't have his pictures yet) and we even had people asking to buy him!  We couldn't part with the little guy of course, but it was fun to be admired.  Garmin will be appearing in the 4th of July parade and carnival in Wellington this summer, so he came on this trip as part of his preparation for that public appearance.
