I went with my friend Rebecca to stock show in Denver and we watched the draft horse competition. These were in the 6-in-hand class. Let me tell you, that was a LOT of horse to control with 2 leather reins. We also saw some of the stock dog herding competition, with border collies trying to get a group of 3 sheep around an obstacle course. Those dogs were amazing, and LOVED their job. The sheep weren't amused, and one was a runner, bolting and heading for the wrong end of the arena as often as he could.
We also tried on the exotic attire of The West. Including hats with skulls on them, feathers, purple yak fur lined leather jackets, scarves, belts with more sequins than leather, and we tried on $300 silver bracelets. That night we stayed in a hotel in Denver and came home in the morning. A fun girls night out!
