Our pond on the west side of our property is home to many different creatures. So far we have seen frogs, crickets, bugs, fish, red-winged blackbirds, yellow-headed blackbirds, great blue herons, some different looking brownish ducks, and a larger bird that looks like a thin black duck with a LONG skinny beak. Most recently we were able to capture muskrat Susie on camera, she's very shy but comes out when she thinks no one is watching. She looks like a giant brownish/grey gerbil. When we bought the place we were told there were two muskrats (so we assumed they were Susie and Sam) but we have only seen one.
