Cecil and Kim went to their first horse show today in Campion, just a bit south of Fort Collins. Cecil was very brave after only a bit of nervousness in the warm-up arena (the mirrors were kind of intimidating "Who is that horse that keeps following me??"). He rode the Introductory test A (walk/trot) and was a little worried about the cones at the side of the testing arena, but did pretty well. He ended up pinning 5th out of 16 horses! His second test was Training Level Test 1 (walk/trot/canter) and he was more relaxed for that with a beautiful free walk. He placed first and won a blue ribbon with a mug and chocolates! Not bad for his first showing!
